Christopher Brahan wins first in Environmental Science at the New Hampshire State Science Fair

Marjot scholar Christopher Brahan of Kearsarge Regional High School wins first place in the Environmental Science category at the New Hampshire State Science Fair for his research on the invasive milfoil plant. He also received the Office of Naval Research Award in recognition of STEM Research. His research, titled “Prediction of Variable Leaf Milfoil (Myriophyllum heterophyllum) Establishment Based On Substrate Composition In New Hampshire Lakes”, focused on evaluating the growth of this invasive aquatic plant on different surfaces. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person state science fair was cancelled and a virtual event was held instead - Christopher is to be commended as one of 47 participants to present virtually.
