Mission and Goals
The goal of the Marjot Foundation is to fund independent field and/or laboratory research projects on environmental issues by high school students (grades 9-11). Students must write an independent proposal detailing their research goals to be carried out over a one-year period.
Funding from the Marjot Foundation is very competitive. Preference for awards will be given to students from public high schools, although students from private schools may also apply and will be considered. All students are expected to meet the following criteria:

Marjot has funded over seventy students from Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Maine since 1998. Total funds available are $5000 per award and include support for the student(s), the mentor, supplies for the project and funds for the student's host school. or laboratory. For 2013-2014, Marjot will accept applications from Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire students.
